Frequently Asked Questions

Lectronic manages the operational handoff between approved suppliers and national retailers. We receive bulk stock into our Sydney warehouse, process replenishment orders via EDI, pick and pack by inner and by store, apply retailer-specific labels, and coordinate national freight. We also handle rebates, reconcile returns, and provide sell-through reporting so suppliers have the visibility they need.

No, we are not a 3PL, as we consolidate suppliers and skus to pick up the economy of scale. We become a pseudo supplier. Nor do we consider ourselves as a distributor, we are your advanced logistics solution to get your product to the customer.

Which retailers do you operate with?
We work within the systems of major Australian retailers such as Officeworks, Big W, Kmart Target, Spotlight, Anaconda.

Within reason all products. As we are a logistics solution we are agnostic to product.

Yes. You remain the brand and maintain your buyer relationship. We make the logistics work to the retailer’s standard.
You can have minimum order values and quantities when delivering to us. Between us and the retailers, replenishment is driven by store demand. Orders are designed to be small and frequent. Where a retailer enforces a threshold, we work within it.

Yes. We guide you on GS1 barcodes, TUNs and label specs.

We reconcile faulty goods and returns monthly in line with retailer policy. Most retailers have a “no questions asked” returns policy. And it is expensive to get product back so 99% of the time we advise them to dispose of the product. We track reasons, quantities and costs and provide a summary so trends can be fixed quickly.

We have our own rebate programs with all the majors. Your product fits into our program.

Once you deliver the stock is legally transferred to Lectronic and you will be paid for what you delivered, on agreed terms, and on time, every time.
However, as we are not a distributor or a wholesaler, should the retailer decide, for whatever reason, that they no longer want that item, while we will always work with them to try and clear our stock, there is a moral obligation on the supplier to work with us to clear the stock or take it back.

Sell-through and replenishment data aligned to retailer feeds, plus stock on hand if required.
A retailer needs to approve your product. Once approved, we confirm specs, guide labelling setup, open your account and begin intake of pallets to our Sydney site.

The list is long but some examples are purchase orders, purchase order change (POC), purchase order acknowledgement (POA), and Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI) etc.

We use SAP and have written programs that check every price to the cent, check every barcode and pack quantity. If anything does not match the orders, it is bounced back to be fixed before proceeding.

We will guide setup and test a sample. Shipments do not leave until labels scan correctly.

We need to give most retailers 90 days’ notice. Any supplier increase needs to be in line with this. Increases are passed on to retailers in the exact percentage. Retailers obviously have the right to accept or reject. If rejected, we have no choice but to stop supplying.

Firstly, rebates paid by Lectronic on the supplier’s behalf cover most of the marketing costs; however, if you are looking to do more, these can be negotiated with the retailer. They will claim on us, and we then pass through to the supplier, at cost.

We monitor sell-through and stock on hand, then prompt top-ups or monthly bulk orders so store-level replenishment continues without gaps.
